Day 18 - Which One (from your house) Doesn't Belong?
Day 18: Which One (from your house) Doesn't Belong?
Directions: Like earlier this week, it's your job to come up with a "Which One Doesn't Belong?", but this time it is with things around your house. Find 4 things and figure out why one doesn't belong and then take a picture. You can email the picture to jpera@bpsk12.org and they will be posted tomorrow. I put an example below. Can you figure out why one of the dice doesn't belong, then come up with a different reason for a different one? Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Day 15 - Make Your Own "Which One Doesn't Belong?"
Day 15: Make Your Own "Which One Doesn't Belong?"
Directions: Today it's your turn to help make a "Which One Doesn't Belong?". Instead of having 4 options like normal, there are only 3 today. It's your job to add in a 4th one that doesn't belong OR makes one of the original three not belong and tell us why in the comments below. Your answers need to be an addition expression (K-2) or subtraction expression (3-5).
K-2:
3-5:
Challenge: Once you come up with a 4th option that doesn't fit in, try to come up with a NEW one that makes the other three not fit in. See an example below:
#1 - If I replace the ? with the number 11, 8 doesn't fit in because it's the only even number.
#2 - If I replace the ? with the number 16, 5 doesn't fit in because you can't use repeated addition to get to the number 5.
(2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 8, 3 + 3 + 3 = 9, 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 = 16)
#3 - If I replace the ? with the number 13, 9 doesn't fit in because 5 + 8 = 13.
